How It Works
A clear, personal process from first conversation to completed documents
Estate planning does not need to feel complicated. My role is to help you understand your options, make sure the planning reflects what you actually want, and guide you through the process without pressure.
1. Book your free consultation
Choose a convenient date and time using my online calendar.
All consultations are held via a simple, secure video call (no downloads or logins required, just click and join from your phone, tablet, or computer). This allows us to talk through your options for Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, or Trusts in detail, giving you clear, personal advice from the comfort of your own home, wherever you are in England or Wales.
2. We discuss what matters to you
During the consultation, we will talk through your family circumstances, assets, existing arrangements, wishes and any concerns you may have.
This may be as simple as putting a straightforward Will in place, appointing guardians for children or arranging Lasting Powers of Attorney.
For others, more detailed planning may also be appropriate. I will explain the options clearly and answer any questions you have.
3. No pressure to proceed
Most clients are ready to proceed by the end of the consultation, once we have discussed the options and agreed the planning that is right for them.
There is never any pressure to make a decision there and then. If you would like to proceed, I will send you a Client Summary setting out the key information and planning instructions discussed, together with the agreed fee.
You can then review everything before confirming that you wish to continue.
4. You confirm your instructions
Your Client Summary gives you the opportunity to check that the important details have been recorded correctly before substantive work begins.
Once you are happy with the information, you can confirm electronically that you wish to proceed.
5. Your planning is prepared
Included within the service, you will receive a detailed estate planning report summarising the planning put in place, key points identified during your consultation and, where relevant, an overview of your estate and current Inheritance Tax position. It provides a useful reference point for future reviews and planning.
6. Your documents are completed
Your documents are prepared in final form and sent to you with clear guidance on signing and any next steps.
If anything is unclear, you can contact me throughout the process.
Personal service throughout
You deal directly with me from the initial consultation through to completion.
The aim is to provide a thorough, one-to-one service with careful attention to detail, while keeping the process clear, straightforward and reassuring.
